Since I was a wee lass with braided pig tails and bushy eye brows, I have wanted to be a writer. I never thought it was a "real" job of course, back then "real" jobs were your regular doctor, lawyer, teacher stint.
But of course, things change. I'm 3 months away from graduating as a Professional Writer and it's kind of surreal. I'm excited and anxious all at once. I'm growing up (sort of).
Part of my fantasy job has been to work at a magazine and eventually run my own magazine. Give the people a mix of fantastical art, and witty prose. I wanted something that blended pop culture with intellectual thought, and fashion with art; I wanted to expose the world to new cultures and ways of thought and open up eyes to things they would never otherwise be able to experience.
I'm excited to say that I've been able to experience that by starting my own magazine: Haute. I hope to bring the world a little something new with each issue. I want to expose new artists to the world and inspire people the way I've been inspired.
